Host Discussion & Confessions

The experience of being a host has really been the refresh I needed for my faith. (…) We made friends with people we didn’t know before and we even invited everyone to a party at our house that evening to continue the conversation.

- Familia Figueroa

We all cried and stayed after movie to just see each other and talk. The movie was out of this world. It broke my heart into pieces. Hearing hymns sung with such pride and strength brought me to tears.

- Agnieszka Siczek

Triumph of the Heart was a masterpiece proclaiming that friendship with God and his Mother should be the true aim of the human heart. The crowd was overwhelmed at the beauty. The portrayal of the Blessed Virgin Mary was the best we’ve ever seen.

- Cecilia Tombelli

WRITER AND DIRECTOR’S STORY

I lost my faith
and wanted to die.

  • I got sick. An undiagnosed medical condition destroyed my life. I couldn’t sleep. My relationship ended. I could barely hold down my job. And worst of all, there was no cure—no end in sight.

The darkness closed in, and I lost my faith. I didn’t want to live anymore.

    But then I remembered Kolbe.

St. Maximilian Kolbe was a priest, a writer, and a Catholic friar. During World War II, he was arrested and sent to Auschwitz for his vocal opposition to the ideologies of the day.

He watched as 10 men were condemned to die in the starvation bunker—a brutal death sentence. When one man cried out, “My wife, my children!” Kolbe stepped forward and offered his own life in exchange.

I kept coming back to that starvation bunker—the place where Kolbe chose to love in the face of unimaginable suffering. I thought about how he forged a brotherhood in that darkness, how he transformed despair into hope. Slowly, a light began to break through.

Kolbe’s story gave me a way forward, and this film is my way of sharing that light with the world.

In an age that runs from pain and avoids the cost of love, Kolbe shows us another way. He is a saint for our time—and his story is one we all need to hear.

Community Screening FAQ

    • Yes! Sell tickets, fundraise, or offer concessions—the options are endless!  TOTH provides the license for the film, everything else is up to you.  You are welcome to sell tickets for your event, use it as a fundraiser, or acquire sponsors.

    • Please take a picture of your event when people are sitting down to watch the movie and send it to us.

    • You are paying a licensing fee to screen the movie to your audience!

    • Included in your purchase is the license to play the movie for a specific audience size and a unique link for you to screen the movie on a specific date. Not included: venue, ticketing platform, tech, tech support. Any additional fees must be paid for by you.

  • Any screening of a movie shown outside a person’s home (for personal use) is required to have public performance/screening license.

  • You can wait and stream as an individual household. Federal law states that in order to show a movie for a church or group event, you must have a public performance rights license (what we are calling a “screening license”).

Please support good art, the artists, and the investors who helped make the art. Do not pirate the movie, do not stream a movie or dvd to a group that does not have a public performance rights license.

For more information on federal law visit this website: https://www.swank.com/public-libraries/copyright/s
